Human PIGF, 1 mg

PIGF (placenta growth factor), a member of the PDGF/VEGF family of growth factors, is expressed by a variety of mammalian cells including villous trophoblasts, decidual cells, erythroblasts, keratinocytes, and some endothelial cells and its expression is increased during pregnancy, reaching a peak in mid-gestation. PlGF induces monocyte activation, migration, and production of inflammatory cytokines and VEGF, thereby facilitating wound, bone fracture, and cardiac repair (1-5).
