Order Processing

Orders are typically processed within 1–2 business days after payment verification. In-stock catalog products ship promptly, while custom synthesis orders require additional lead time as specified at the time of quotation.

Orders placed after 2:00 PM EST or on weekends and holidays will be processed on the next business day. You will receive an email confirmation with tracking information once your order has shipped.

We offer the following shipping options for orders within the Continental United States:

A flat $50.00 shipping and handling fee applies to standard domestic orders under $500. Expedited and overnight shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on package weight, dimensions, and destination.

Temperature-Sensitive Shipments

Maintaining the integrity of your research materials is our top priority. Many of our products — including recombinant proteins, certain peptides, and antibodies — require temperature-controlled shipping:

• Dry Ice Packaging: Products requiring frozen storage (-20°C or -80°C) are shipped on dry ice in insulated containers to maintain temperature throughout transit.
• Cold Packs: Products requiring refrigerated storage (2–8°C) are shipped with gel cold packs in insulated packaging.
• Cold Chain Integrity: We monitor and validate our cold chain procedures to ensure products arrive in optimal condition. Temperature-sensitive shipments are typically sent via expedited or overnight service to minimize transit time.
• Ambient Shipping: Lyophilized (freeze-dried) peptides that are stable at room temperature may be shipped at ambient temperature.

Additional charges may apply for dry ice packaging and temperature-controlled shipping. These will be calculated at checkout.

International Shipping

Boston Molecules ships to most countries worldwide. Please note the following for international orders:

• International shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on destination, package weight, and service level.
• Customs and Import Duties: All customs duties, import taxes, and brokerage fees are the sole responsibility of the buyer. Boston Molecules is not responsible for delays caused by customs clearance.
• International shipments may require additional documentation (e.g., Material Safety Data Sheets, end-use certificates). We will work with you to provide all necessary documentation.
• Some products may be subject to export control regulations and may not be available for shipment to certain countries.
• Delivery times vary by destination and typically range from 5–15 business days.

Hazardous Materials

Certain chemical products may be classified as hazardous materials for shipping purposes. These products may be subject to:

• Additional surcharges from carriers for hazardous materials handling
• Restrictions on international shipment to certain destinations

Order Tracking

Tracking information is provided via email for all orders once shipped. You can also log in to your Boston Molecules account to view order status and tracking details. If you have not received tracking information within 3 business days of placing your order, please contact us at info@bostonmolecules.com.

Saturday and Holiday Delivery

Saturday and holiday delivery is available at an additional cost through FedEx and UPS. This service must be specifically requested at the time of order. Please note that additional surcharges from the carrier apply for weekend and holiday deliveries.

Address Requirements

Certain products — including controlled substances, hazardous materials, and temperature-sensitive biologics — may only be shipped to a valid business, institutional, or laboratory address. Residential delivery may not be available for these products.

Please ensure your shipping address is complete, accurate, and includes a contact person and phone number. Boston Molecules is not responsible for delivery issues caused by incomplete or incorrect addresses.
