How do I place an order?

Do you accept Purchase Orders?
Yes, we accept Purchase Orders (POs) from established institutional buyers, government agencies, universities, and approved corporate accounts. PO terms are Net 30 unless otherwise negotiated.
New institutional customers may need to complete a credit application before PO terms are extended. Please email your PO to orders@bostonmolecules.com or upload it during checkout.
What payment methods do you accept?

Is there a minimum order amount?

What purity are your peptides?
We offer peptides at multiple purity levels to meet different research requirements:
- Crude (desalted): ~70% purity — suitable for antibody production and initial screening
- HPLC purified (>85%): Suitable for most in vitro assays
- HPLC purified (>90%): Recommended for quantitative studies
- HPLC purified (>95%): High purity for sensitive assays and structural studies
- HPLC purified (>98%): Ultra-high purity for critical research applications
Every peptide ships with a Certificate of Analysis (CoA) documenting purity by analytical HPLC and identity verification by mass spectrometry.
Do you provide Certificates of Analysis?
Yes, every product ships with a Certificate of Analysis (CoA). The CoA includes:
- Purity analysis (HPLC chromatogram)
- Identity confirmation (mass spectrometry data)
- Appearance and solubility information
- Lot number and manufacturing date
- Storage recommendations
CoAs are included with your shipment and can also be downloaded from your account dashboard or requested via email.
What is the difference between crude and HPLC-purified peptides?
Crude (desalted) peptides have undergone basic purification to remove salts and reagents from synthesis but may contain truncated sequences and deletion peptides (typical purity ~70%). They are suitable for antibody production, ELISA coating, and initial experiments where high purity is not critical.
HPLC-purified peptides undergo reverse-phase high-performance liquid chromatography (RP-HPLC) to remove impurities, resulting in purities of 85–98%+. These are recommended for quantitative assays, cell-based studies, receptor binding experiments, and any application where consistent, reproducible results are essential.
Are your products for research use only?
Yes, all Boston Molecules products are sold strictly for Research Use Only (RUO). They are not intended for human or veterinary consumption, diagnostic, therapeutic, food, or cosmetic use. By purchasing our products, you confirm that they will be used exclusively for lawful in vitro research and laboratory experimentation.
Custom Synthesis
What is the turnaround time for custom peptides?
Turnaround times depend on the complexity, length, and modifications of the peptide:
- Standard peptides (up to 30 amino acids, no modifications): 2–3 weeks
- Modified peptides: 3–4 weeks depending on the modification
- Long peptides (30–50+ amino acids): 4–6 weeks
- Complex modifications (cyclic, stapled, multiple modifications): 4–8 weeks

Can you synthesize modified peptides?
Yes, we offer a wide range of peptide modifications including:
- N-terminal modifications: Acetylation, biotinylation, FITC/FAM labeling, PEGylation

What is the maximum peptide length you can synthesize?
Using standard Fmoc solid-phase peptide synthesis (SPPS), we routinely synthesize peptides up to 50 amino acids in length. For longer peptides (50–150 amino acids), we employ advanced techniques including native chemical ligation and fragment condensation to achieve successful synthesis.
For sequences exceeding 100 amino acids, we recommend considering our recombinant protein expression services as a cost-effective alternative. Contact us to discuss the best approach for your specific sequence.
Do you offer stapled or cyclic peptide synthesis?
Yes! We specialize in advanced peptide architectures including:

Shipping
How are temperature-sensitive products shipped?
Temperature-sensitive products such as recombinant proteins and certain peptides are shipped with appropriate cold chain packaging:
- Products requiring -20°C or -80°C storage are shipped on dry ice in insulated containers
- Products requiring 2–8°C storage are shipped with gel cold packs
- Lyophilized peptides stable at room temperature may ship at ambient conditions
We use expedited or overnight shipping for temperature-sensitive products to minimize transit time and ensure product integrity.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we ship to most countries worldwide via FedEx, UPS, and DHL. International shipping rates are calculated at checkout. Please note that customs duties, import taxes, and brokerage fees are the responsibility of the buyer.
Some products may be subject to export control regulations. We will notify you if any restrictions apply to your order.

Yes! We offer free standard shipping on all domestic orders over $500. Orders under $500 are subject to a flat $50.00 shipping and handling fee for standard delivery. Expedited and overnight shipping costs are calculated at checkout.

How do I store your products?
Storage conditions vary by product type. Always refer to the product label and Certificate of Analysis (CoA) for specific storage instructions:
- Lyophilized Peptides: Store at -20°C desiccated. Stable at room temperature for short periods during handling. Reconstituted peptides should be aliquoted and stored at -20°C or -80°C.
- Recombinant Proteins: Store at -20°C or -80°C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Aliquot upon first use.
- Antibodies: Store at 2–8°C for short-term use or -20°C for long-term storage. Do not freeze aliquots in frost-free freezers.
