β-Amyloid (30-16)

β-Amyloid (30-16) is a 26-amino-acid A synthetic peptide fragment of the amyloid β-protein (Aβ), a 39–43 amino acid peptide that is the principal component of amyloid plaques in Alzheimer’s disease. This fragment is widely used in neuroscience research to study Aβ aggregation, neurotoxicity, and the molecular mechanisms underlying Alzheimer’s pathology. It serves as a valuable tool for investigating amyloid fibril formation, screening potential therapeutic agents, and elucidating structure-activity relationships within the Aβ sequence.

Protocols & Support

Reconstitution Protocol

1. Briefly centrifuge the vial to collect lyophilized powder at the bottom.

2. Reconstitute in sterile deionized water or PBS to a concentration of 0.2–1.0 mg/mL.

3. Gently pipette up and down to dissolve. Do not vortex.

4. Aliquot and store at -20°C to -80°C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
