Galanin (2-11)

Galanin (2-11) is a 12-amino-acid A peptide from the galanin family, a neuropeptide widely expressed in the central and peripheral nervous systems. Galanin modulates neurotransmitter release (including acetylcholine, serotonin, and norepinephrine) through GalR1, GalR2, and GalR3 receptors, influencing cognition, pain, feeding, mood, and neuroendocrine function. Used in neuroscience research for studying neuropeptide signaling, Alzheimer’s disease, epilepsy, and depression.

Protocols & Support

Reconstitution Protocol

1. Briefly centrifuge the vial to collect lyophilized powder at the bottom.

2. Reconstitute in sterile deionized water or PBS to a concentration of 0.2–1.0 mg/mL.

3. Gently pipette up and down to dissolve. Do not vortex.

4. Aliquot and store at -20°C to -80°C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
