Human IL34 Recombinant Protein (HEK293 Expression)
Price range: $198.00 through $5,200.00
Overview
IL-34 (Interleukin-34) is a cytokine that shares the CSF-1 receptor (CSF-1R) with Colony-Stimulating Factor 1 (CSF-1/M-CSF) but has distinct expression patterns and functions. Primarily produced by neurons, keratinocytes, fibroblasts, and certain immune cells, it is crucial for the development, survival, and maintenance of microglia in the central nervous system and Langerhans cells in the skin. IL-34 also regulates osteoclastogenesis (bone resorption), macrophage differentiation, and inflammatory responses. Pathologically, it is implicated in neurodegenerative diseases (e.g., Alzheimer’s), autoimmune disorders (e.g., rheumatoid arthritis), cancer progression (tumor-associated macrophages), and viral infections (e.g., some viruses exploit CSF-1R for entry). Its signaling via CSF-1R activates pathways like PI3K/AKT and MAPK.
Quality Assurance
Each lot is tested for purity (SDS-PAGE, SEC-HPLC), endotoxin levels (LAL method), and bioactivity. A Certificate of Analysis (COA) is provided with every order.
