PE-22-28 is an optimized spadin analog acting as a potent TREK-1 potassium channel antagonist. Modulates neuronal excitability and increases serotonin release in dorsal raphe nucleus and hippocampus. Investigated as a rapid-acting antidepressant with a novel non-monoaminergic mechanism.
