VIP, guinea pig

VIP, guinea pig is a 30-amino-acid A peptide related to the vasoactive intestinal peptide (VIP) / PACAP family, a 28-amino-acid neuropeptide that signals through VPAC1 and VPAC2 receptors. VIP mediates vasodilation, smooth muscle relaxation, exocrine secretion, immune modulation, and circadian rhythm regulation. Used in immunology, neuroscience, and gastrointestinal research.
